The Bernabéu is joining in Madrid's New Year's Eve celebrations for the first time with special lighting on its façade to welcome in 2026. The Bernabéu stadium will share with the city and all visitors a visual display bathed in light and colour to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.
From 6pm today, the façade will display different images, Christmas motifs and congratulatory messages in a special edition of the projection that has been illuminating the Plaza de los Sagrados Corazones for the last few days.
The versatility of the materials that make up the stadium's enclosure, the most advanced technology and innovative architecture will be at the service of a very special night, generating unique moments and unforgettable images.
The event puts the finishing touch to a year in which the Bernabéu has once again made history, hosting the first NFL game in Spain or opening its doors to Mavidad, an event that, for the first time, has allowed thousands of people to enjoy a Christmas theme park inside the stadium. In addition, the gastronomic offering has been completed, and the Bernabéu Tour has once again broken all visitor records, demonstrating that the Bernabéu effect extends to all areas of culture and entertainment. On the sporting front, the Bernabéu was the setting for the presentation of the Golden Boot to Kylian Mbappé, top European goalscorer for the 2024-2025 season.
The Bernabéu continues to consolidate its role as a multifunctional space, open to various audiences and as an urban and cultural reference, reinforcing its presence beyond sport.
